Testing of climbing protection devices in accordance with DGUV principle 312-906 / BGG 906

As experts according to DGUV 312-906 (formerly BGG906) and materials tester, we meet the requirements to carry out the tests properly and in accordance with standards with well-founded knowledge.
According to DIN EN 353, climbing protection devices are part of the PPE against falls and are subject to the annual recurring inspection. Regardless of whether fall arrest rails are used as a fixed guide or as a steel cable or rope as a movable guide, we carry out the recurring tests.
There is a lot of work behind every successful product, regardless of the business area. Developing a successful product requires not only good intuition, but also research, planning, reflection, business profiling and much more. At this point, describe the challenges you faced in product development and how you and your team were able to master them.

We see the fall arrest system as a whole! The fall arrest device according to DIN EN 353 is only part of an overall system. The system consists of a fall arrest system (rail or rope guide), a fall arrester and a corresponding safety harness in accordance with EN 361, including a front eyelet that is in a suitable position for the fall arrester.

That is why the following is already included in the price when testing a climbing protection device:
  • Checking the fall arrest device (fixed guide or movable guide)
  • Testing of 2x accompanying fall arrester (fall arrester)
  • Testing of 2x full body harnesses according to EN 361 including a front eyelet that is in a suitable position for the fall arrester.
A system always includes two fall arrest devices and, accordingly, two full body harnesses, because of a possible rescue. That is why we include testing of two fall arrest runners and two full body harnesses.

Fall arrest systems according to DIN EN 353 are often complex fall protection systems

There are important regulations, rules and standards that must be taken into account during an inspection, plus the empirical values of our inspectors. These empirical values are a decisive factor for you when assessing a system with regard to safety and economy.

We won't leave you alone when you have questions about tests, rules, regulations, standards or laws. We are happy to advise you. You are welcome to send us an email (anfrage@psa-check.com) or by phone (+49 2309 60099-67) to reach. We not only test, but for us a test service means to accompany you from the drafting to the end or to carry out these activities.
